Throughout my childhood, I moved all over the western United States. This unintentional adventure gave me a well-rounded perspective that I feel lucky to have in adulthood. It pushed me to make new friends wherever I went, and it gave me the opportunity to take an interest in learning everything I could about my ever-changing surroundings. This also gave me a deep appreciation for stories of adventure and explorers, because moving around so often FELT like a grand adventure! 

The Road to El Dorado, Treasure Planet, and The Lost City of Atlantis were among my first introductions to the world of adventure, history, and storytelling. I've always been drawn to characters like Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, Rick O'Connell, and of course my favorite, Nathan Drake! Later in life, one of my biggest inspirations became Josh Gates and the multitude of shows he’s dedicated his craft to. These experiences, stories, people, and characters have instilled in me the curiosity that’s driven me to explore 10 different countries (so far!) while becoming an Eagle Scout, a PADI-certified diver, and an all-around adventure junkie. 

My background has ingrained in me an iron-clad respect for the outdoors and self-reliance. It lit a fire in me to pursue the elusive “spirit of adventure”! 

These days, I’d describe myself as an amateur treasure hunter. Not in the bombastic movie sense, but in a more practical (Very nerdy) sense. I’m easily fascinated by old maps, forgotten locations, and the quiet thrill of discovering something that has been disregarded by time for centuries. 

This podcast was born of the same curiosity and serves to satiate mine, and hopefully others', thirst for adventure as we discover what lies beyond the map's edge! It is my goal to sit down with archaeologists, historians, anthropologists, modern-day explorers, myth hunters, and anyone else chasing down answers to interesting questions about the small, yet vast blue pearl we call home – and I want to take YOU along for the journey. Whether it’s a remote dig site, a forgotten city, or a story buried in the past, I want to explore it TOGETHER!
